Herring

East coast today, off to see the sea.

Eyemouth is not somewhere I had been before but what a great place, with its bustling fishing harbour overlooked by Guns Green House but more on that later

The reason for my visit was to see Dani at Eat Sleep Ride. ESR is a social enterprise targeting people experiencing mental health problems. Those that have suffered abuse, lived in areas of high deprivation and other challenges such as drug/alcohol addiction.

As well as working towards being a British Horse Society Approved yard which will help to run The Changing Lives Programme they operate as a livery yard with lessons and horses taken in for backing and schooling.

Dani is working on plotting multiple routes for people to come and ride including a pub and the beach! With the possibility of overnight accommodation and extensive facilities, she is ideally placed close to Edinburgh as a good starting or finishing point for those adventurers wanting to ride further afield,.

Quick lunch break in town by the harbour, joined by my dining companion
