At Burnbrae Holidays we have 3 cottages which are generously equipped for 2-4 people for self-catering. We can also provide extra beds in Thairn and Begrum cottages. All the rooms are on ground floor. Each cottage is light and airy with plenty of space. From the dining area of the living room, there is direct, level access to a south-facing conservatory with splendid views across the secluded garden, river and the Tweed valley to the Cheviot hills and the border between Scotland and England. In each cottage is a heated drying room. There is a washing machine and tumble drier on site. We live on site and are enjoy helping guests with information and other assistance. Dogs welcome only in Begrum cottage. Mungo’s Well and Thairn cottages are pet free. Central heating throughout and a log burner in each living room.

Burnbrae is situated 3 miles north of the abbey town of Kelso with its cobbled square quaint shops and fantastic restaurants. We are located within 40 minutes drive of Edinburgh and the east coast fishing villages, superb coastal scenery, Border towns, Cheviot and Ettrick Hills. Ideal for visiting the many abbeys, gardens and stately homes (Floors Castle and Mellerstain nearby). This is an ideal area for those who enjoy riding, walking and cycling with a heated drying cupboard in each cottage. Not only are there some lovely short walks within Burnbrae but there are also walks that start directly from the site with a wide choice of walking to suite all levels, where you can take in the spectacular scenery. There is a good network of bridleways around Burnbrae. The Scottish Borders also has a wealth of culture and history and many beautiful gardens and historic properties to visit. The Northumberland border is just six miles away and the Northumberland National Park is twelve miles.
